Exterior Holiday Lighting

~Outdoor *Holiday* Lighting~
Time to break out the twinkle lights and spotlights and have some fun with the outdoor decorating. Normally I place mini lights all throughout the flower beds, but decided to keep it simple and refined this year. I will be posting pictures later this week, so stay tuned. Below are some pictures I found on the web that I find beautiful! I can't wait to see what all of you do with your "exterior" decorating!
~Happy Sunday~

Isn't this photo GORGEOUS? I think it looks very classy. The lit garland and the lit topiary trees with the red accents looks fabulous.

This home is spotlighted very well. Talk about looking gorgeous and grand at night. I think this home would look phenomenal with lit garland around the front door and wreathes with big red bows on the windows.

In this photo, I love how the lighting is perfectly aligned. I looked into having someone do the installation on our house and they quoted me $800.00. Can you believe it? As much as I like it, I will have to pass on that price.Again, I really admire this look. Wouldn't you love to drive up your driveway at night and have it all lit up? I sure would! =)

ChristmasIdeas
Happy Saturday! I'm in the Christmas mood and went searching for more festive ideas. Once again, I found myself on the Neiman Marcus website...lol! Many of the ideas I found we can replicate ourselves for a much lower price. So here I sit, ready to share some adorable pictures and ideas that I came across. Enjoy and have a fantastic weekend!
((Hugs))

Love this Christmas wreath. It costs a lot of $, but all of us could replicate this wreath for very little money, which I may do! I really like the colors and the snowflakes sporadically placed.

Aren't these Christmas topiaries adorable? I love the nutcracker as the topper. Again, we could all do these ourselves and what makes the Christmas topiaries unique is the nutcracker at the top…absolutely adorable! =)
Aren't these stocking holders pretty? I love them!

I love the idea of stringing 3 wreathes together as one, add a bow and whala...you're done!

I like the arrangement of these items...very festive!

Aren't these stockings cute?

These lighted topiary trees would be beautiful on either side of a front door.

Love these stocking holders, and how cute is it to have every family members picture on each holder?

I think this arrangement is very elegant looking, however you could copy it using whatever wreaths, bows, and swags that you have at home.

For people that love the beach, or live near the beach, how cute is this idea...sea shell stocking holders?

This is a very simple wreath that any of us could make. I actually think by adding a few more holly berries in various sizes it would be even more spectacular.

Thanks for peeking and I hope you got a few neat ideas that you can implement in your Christmas decorating!

Hi Everyone!!
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your loved ones, friends, and family! Sorry, I haven't been on much, I've been busy with school functions, and of course...Christmas decorating! I will try to post some pictures sometime next week. In the meantime, I've been browsing accent furniture and found some fantastic pieces I absolutely love--- all from Neiman Marcus. Don't you find that accent furniture can really spice up any bland or boring room? I'm not sure why, but I am really drawn to tiger, zebra, and cheetah print right now, go figure!! It must be the "wild" side of me coming out...lol! I hope you enjoy the pictures. Now, if I could just afford the prices on these pieces, I would be in hog heaven!

I love the Tiger Print on this chest and think it would really pop and stand out in any room!

I think this crackled/painted zebra print is really unique. I wish I could learn how to create this technique on a piece of furniture.

I love the knobs on this chest...very hip and cool in appearance.

Another Tiger print, but I really like the knobs/handles and the fact that you can store books below on the bottom shelf...its different!

I love that this chest is mirrored which adds light and reflection to any room. Oh, and a little bling! ;)

I like the cheetah print on this chest and the legs...very cute!

On this chest I am drawn to the diamond pattern and think it looks rather classy and timeless.

I love this design, because I like the big circle below which really becomes the focal point for this piece.

Here is another mirrored chest which I love...very pretty and feminine.

Thanks for stopping by! :)

~Christmas-y Bedding~
Have you ever thought of buying a holiday comforter set that you can bring out every year? I've never done this before but I'm contemplating the idea. It would be a nice change and how fun would it be to have the master bedroom beautifully appointed just in time for the holidays? Below are few pictures I found that I think are pretty. You can always dress bedding up with pillows and throws, so here are a few ideas.

~Floors With Character~
My daughter has a friend whose father is an artist. He paints beautiful murals and can do artistic designs on hardwood floors. I am very interested in having him paint a Harlequin pattern on my kitchen floors. I was lurking online to get ideas and the below photos are what I found. We may attempt this, but I need to think it through a bit longer, because I want to make sure it won't make the kitchen look too busy. What do you ladies think of these floors? Would you attempt it in your kitchen? Keep in mind, my theme is a red and black bistro theme.
((Hugs))

Here is my kitchen below:
If I decided to go ahead with the Harlequin pattern I would tone my kitchen WAY down and let the floors be the focal point.

Pardon this room; I'm not finished decorating it for x-mas!

Hi Everyone!
Below are pictures of what I've been working on...Christmas, Christmas, and more Christmas! When a person buys new furniture they often move the furniture a few times before they finally decide on the placement of it. The same thing applies to me in regards to holiday decorating. I throw my Christmas decor up in a mad rush, so that I can enjoy it for as long as possible. :) However, in doing so, I end up moving, re-arranging, and fine tuning before I finally settle down and am happy with the look and feel of each room. So, with that said...below is what I have so far. I'm sure between now and Christmas it will change a bit, especially when I start to visit others blogs and get inspired. LOL! Are any of you the same way?
I can't wait to see everyone's Christmas decor and trees. What fun! :)

This is the top of our entertainment unit. I added garland with ornaments already in it and purchased gift boxes and arranged them to fill in where it was bare.
This is our dining room.

This is the top of our hutch in the kitchen. I added lit garland and a tree. I love the way it looks at night. :)

Wall shelf in breakfast nook.

Door with Christmas wreath.

Here's a close-up!

Dining room with the tree my sister made for me and my Byers Carolers.

Another shot of the dining room.

Family Room with Santa as the focal point on the mantle. I purchased the santa picture from Kirkland's years ago. I added two topiary trees that are lit with lights.

This is our family room. I put a large lit wreath around a round mirror that I had hanging and I love the way it looks at night....very Chritmas-y! ;)

Here is another shot!

Here's a chair with a santa pillow.

I was shopping at Wal-Mart and noticed that they had the vinyl sayings for $10.00, so I decided to give it a try since the price was so great and I love the way it turned out.
It says... Bless this home with love and laughter! ;)

I love block lettering and picked this up at HomeGoods and placed it on a shelf.

These pictures I bought at Kirkland's and I love the wording!

Two Santa pictures I picked up at HomeGoods.

More Kirkland's decor.

Are any of you addicted to candles? I am! I love the ambience of the flickering flame. =)
