Using Evergreens In The Kitchen

Using natural elements in the kitchen.
Today, I would like to share a super simple arrangement using everything I had at home.
I went in the backyard and snipped a few branches from an Evergreen Tree.
I am showing you the end look first.
Whala, simple, but pretty!  I wanted a big, full look on the kitchen Island.  This year I kept my kitchen very minimally decorated, because I went crazy everywhere else. ;)
I love these branches and think it adds a bit of warmth to the kitchen.
I started out with this glass vase.
Cut the branches.
I got these two little ones involved and they dropped the ornaments into the vase for me.
The girl's also helped to push the branches down into the ornaments to secure everything into place.
Instant impact.  Loving it!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend! We took the kids to see the Nutcracker on Saturday and they really enjoyed it.
My girl's are so excited for Santa to come. Oh, to be a kid again! ;)
Kourtney was cold in this picture, ha! I can't believe how fast time goes by, it seems like only yesterday I had 4 toddlers. Sniff! Each year seems to fly by faster then the last, so I am really trying to slow down and enjoy my little ones while they are still little.  I love seeing the anticipation and sparkle in their eyes when they talk about Santa's arrival, there is nothing better. =)
Have a great week everyone.  I hope to have a few more posts up later this week....stay tuned!
XO ~Liz

Oh my gosh, I love it that your girls are all matchy matchy! (And the Christmas card header is really sweet too!). I've been meaning to get out and snip some branches to bring in... I think after seeing yours I'm going to have to get out there and really do it!

Gorgeous girls like their Mama! And, I love how you used fresh evergreens in your kitchen ... you're right ... huge impact for such a great price! But, wait ... did you just use the word "minimal" describing your Christmas kitchen decor? I didn't think that word was in your vocabulary around the holidays. LOL. :) xoxo

Such cuties your girls - I did the same thing last week on the kitchen window sill. I snipped some branches off of the Christmas tree and decorated the sill. Don't have Evergreen's in Florida :( Your arrangement is lovely.

Blessings to you and your sweet family!
