Yummy - Yummy ... In My Tummy!

Spreading a little...
Christmas Sugar and Cheer!
The girl's and I are doing a little baking this morning.  We decided to make some Peanut Butter Blossoms. Can you say...YUM-O?  I can!! ;) You can find the recipe here.
We have never really tried our hand at decorating sugar cookies, but I think this takes someone with a steady hand.  I am only sharing these cookies with you, because we are all laughing at our *horrible* cookie decorating skills.  Let's just say, cookie decorating is *not* our forte! ;)
We started out with so much hope, hope for some beautifully decorated cookies.  We got all the supplies out, rolled up our sleeves, only to end up with this...

WAIT FOR IT.....

WAIT FOR IT......

Wait For it....
Ta DA!!  ...UGLY!!
Yummy, but ugly!  Now even though our cookies didn't turn out pretty, it's the memories shared with my girl's that count.  We had fun rolling out the dough, and cutting out the shapes.
The moral of the story...
MAKE MEMORIES!!
We will forever laugh at our cookie decorating skills, BUT...hopefully next time we will improve!
Happy Baking!

They don't have to be designer cookies! I think they look beautiful, and even more so because of the memories you made. You should have seen the ones we did this week!!!!! Ours still tasted yummy too, so we're not complaining.

Liz, First time I will disagree, these cookies are the best ever.....made with love, their mommy and their precious hands!!!!!I love the cutters, so pretty and what a great idea the rolls of dough and supplies. I will have to show my girls, you have great ideas! We make those others every year, having hard time finding plain kisses, today they are in multiple flavors. They can leave some for Santa, in that pretty Santa dish! best hugs, and thank you for all your support and love, Emelia.

Wow they look good to me . I made sugar cookies as well with my kids and i'm not good at decorating them either so we just decided to leave them the way that they are this time instead of decorating. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Your first Chritsmas in Settle.
