The Kitchen (Part 2) and an announcement!

Hi everyone!  I shared my kitchen re-do after Christmas and today I would like to share (part 2) of the kitchen.  You can see (part 1) here. I decided to make a few minor changes.  Sometimes just a tweak here and there can make all the difference.
I had two shelves and an iron embellishment above the mirror, but grew tired of that look.  (This is what it used to look like.)
So, I took two smaller shelves and a Chateau sign and hung those in their place.  I added the mirror over Christmas and hung a wreath on the mirror using a Command Hook.  I love the reflective detail with the mirror.  It really brightens-up the kitchen.
I love lamps in the kitchen.  It adds a lot of warmth and coziness to the space.
The kitchen would not be complete without a Rooster. ;)
Here is one more look at the newly "tweaked" wall.
Below is a desk area in the kitchen.  This is where the kids play on their laptop!
Here is a shelf I re-decorated.
I love decorating the shelves in this cabinet.  It's fun to changes things out with the seasons.
Here is a floral arrangement I added to one of the shelves.
Below is the Butler's Pantry
I felt this area needed a little accessorizing.
I added a few things.  I added these two jugs that I purchased from Ross last week, and I added a Rooster to the wire cloche.
I love my Roo's!
So, that's it for the kitchen.  The kitchen is ALWAYS changing.  I can't help myself. ;)
----
Ok, now onto the a n n o u n c e m e n t.
I will be starting the first ever...
...this Friday!!
I will open the party up Thursday evening.  There seemed to be a lot of interest, so I will go ahead and set it up.  You don't have to be on a diet to participate.  This party will be all about promoting and sharing "healthy" recipes, fitness tips, progress reports, stats, or pictures.
Having a support system whether you're on a diet, or not is so important, so let's inspire each other to eat healthy, stay hydrated, and exercise.  Spring and summer is just around the corner, so there is no better time like the present. I hope you'll join me, so get your posts ready for Friday and for those of you who don't have a blog, feel free to post what's working for you.  The details of the party are here.
Thanks for stopping by! xo ~Liz

I definitely love the new tweaks! Seems more like "you" now. One thing I want to see...you talked a lot about how you go "shopping" in your basement or storage rooms for all of these accessories. Well, I want to see your collection! How do you store everything? I'm running into that problem-I also change stuff out with the seasons, but I don't want it to get dusty and covered in cobwebs in the off-months. I'd like some help in this area please :)

Love it, Liz! I love a wreath over a mirror, too. Not sure why, but I'm always drawn to that look. Love how you decorated the table underneath, too. I'm with you, I do like lamp light in a kitchen especially at night when you just need a little light to get by.

Hi Liz -- would love to know where you found the rooster figure that you have on the table under your mirror and chateau sign. I just love roosters!

And I'm totally going to try your water diet idea. I know I can drink the water with meals with breakfast and dinner ... not sure if I'll be able to do it at lunch since I'm normally at work and running to the bathroom would be a problem. I can drink some water with a meal but that's about it. Can also drink additional water in evening (no snacking though!) Think that will work?

Savvy Seasons said...

Hi Barbara,
I found that Rooster at Ross. Ross always seems to carry a lot of different Roosters, so you may have luck finding one there.

Yes, the water would be difficult to drink at work. When I am out and about, I will make up the water I should have had for lunch when I get home...and trust me, it still works. =) Let me know how you are doing, I would love to hear about your progress. =) xo ~Liz

Hi Emelia,
Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate you letting me know where to find the Paris lamp, I will head right on over to that website to check it out. Have a lovely evening. By the way, I will email you later. My computer crashed the other night and my husband has been working on getting my email and pc back up and running. My email got all messed up. xo ~Liz

Very pretty Liz! I am just now catching up with you and all your recent posts. I love the changes in the kitchen. You are so talented with creating interesting vignettes. I really want to change up a few things at my home but just don't have the time or quite the momentum lately. I am really loving the greenery you have used here though. I especially love the wreath on the mirror. I first thought it was ivy but it's boxwood right? I really want something like that. Did you buy that or make it? Just wondering. Everything looks so nice and you are still my go to blog for decor inspiration. Thanks so much!
