Take Out Your Hot Glue Guns...

A N D   H E A T   T H E M    U P!!! :)
Are you ready to see a "Candy Land" - inspired craft project for Christmas? :)
 DIY "Hot To" VIDEO Below!
HUGE CORRECTION, all items were purchased at the DOLLAR TREE, not Dollar Store. *blush*  We call it the dollar store, and then I drove by tonight and went...oops! ;)
Here is the candy you will need:
I used Peppermint Twists, Regular Peppermints, and Spice/Gum Drops.
This project is so fun!  I put on the movie...
While You Were Sleeping, and placed all my goodies out on the table and began to hot glue the candy to my small Styrofoam Balls.
It's that simple!  You can even get the kids involved in the project.
The tricky part was doing the tops of the balls, you'll have to get creative with placement to get the peppermints to fit.
The peppermint one is not perfect, but I'm ok with small imperfections. ;)
The gum drop balls were super simple to create, you can squeeze them in to get them to fit, which was not the case with the harder candy.
I will be filling in the bare spots you see on the peppermint cone, but this is what it looks like now.
Below is my Christmas Present Tower Project I did last week.
Below are the items you will need, plus a glue gun! The tablecloth was so that I didn't get glue all over my table. I'm a messy crafter. lol!
All items were purchased at the Dollar Tree. Cheap, cheap, cheap!!
I made a matching wreath too! I used a Styrofoam wreath form and wrapped the dollar store Christmas garland around it, added ribbon, and hot glued the ornaments on. Super simple!
I must say, I really had fun making all these items.  As much as I love to shop and buy pre-made items, there is something to be said about making and creating something of your very own.
I'm looking forward to accessorizing with these items, so stay tuned!
Thanks for stopping by! XOXO ~Liz

I was wondering what dollar store you use? Is it a chain? Like Dollar Tree? I don't recall any of our dollar stores having these great items. :o(

Looking forward to your next post!!

So sweet! In both ways. ❈ Did you spray those with shellac or something so they don't get sticky?

Hey, just found out I'm hosting Thanksgiving this year. Anyway I can convince you to throw together some cute (kid friendly) and or elegant (to wow the adults) table setting ideas? I need inspiration and you are my go to source - plus you are getting crafty lately... is there any glue left in your glue gun for the pilgrims and the natives??! xoxo -Jen

Sooo stinkin' cute, Liz! You need your own crafting show on HGTV! I love the candy balls, and, I loved making candy trees (with gum drops) with Jax a couple of years ago. And, love the added embellishments you added to the stacked gifts! Can't wait to see more!
