Hi Everyone! Today, I made several changes in the Dining Room, please join me for a tour! New vignettes, new tablescape, hutch moved, valances taken down, and lastly, lanterns taken down from the hanging ladder.

I hung this wreath and blessings sign on my iron wall art using a command hook. The wreath is from Ross and the sign is from Haggen Northwest Fresh grocery store.
I added this table runner, purchased from Marshall's. I also thought it would be fun to add a cloche full of sugary pumpkins, accented by a few fall leaves.
A couple plates are accented with large brown chargers, white plates, and 3 ears of corn, tied with raffia.
Other plates are accented with large brown chargers, white plates, and pumpkins.
I changed my cake platter in the kitchen. I added glass pebbles in autumn colors and placed three pumpkins down upon it.
I de-cluttered the ladder. I took down two large baskets I had sitting up top and a twig pumpkin, too! I also took down the three hanging lanterns. I did, however, add the Autumn sign, and I kept the grapevine and leaves. It really opens the room up now.
Can you see how the room looks a bit more open now?
I brought three candle holders in that were sitting on my mantle and made them the centerpiece of the table.
Here's a close-up of the sugary pumpkins in the cloche.
Below is my new tablescape.
I moved the hutch on another wall in the dining room. In it's place, I brought in a painted table, planked it with two Tuscan lamps, Iron Wall Art, and accented it with a wreath.
Below is another look at the plates on the table.
Here is my funky ladder decked for Fall....the grapevine is wispy and messy, but I love it like that! ;)
Here is my new vignette on the painted table.
I love the lamps above, I like the glow it casts at night, very cozy!
Above are my two plates with corn.
In the photo below, I added a fall wreath and pumpkins around the candle holders.
I stacked my London and Rome chests down beside my painted table, and stacked two French Book boxes on top of the chests, and set a plant down upon it.
In the photo below, you can see that the hutch has been moved to a different wall and accessorized a little differently. I love changing things up around the house. Oh, and I also removed the valances above the window. I felt like the valances were competing with the busy ladder, it was just too much, and now it feels a bit more open.
I have a lot more to show you. Hopefully, I can make a video tomorrow to show you the other changes I've made. Thanks so much for stopping by! ((Hugs And Love)) ~Liz~
Are you ready to see a "Candy Land" - inspired craft project for Christmas? :)
DIY "Hot To" VIDEO Below!
HUGE CORRECTION, all items were purchased at the DOLLAR TREE, not Dollar Store. *blush* We call it the dollar store, and then I drove by tonight and went...oops! ;) Here is the candy you will need:
I used Peppermint Twists, Regular Peppermints, and Spice/Gum Drops.
This project is so fun! I put on the movie...
While You Were Sleeping, and placed all my goodies out on the table and began to hot glue the candy to my small Styrofoam Balls.
It's that simple! You can even get the kids involved in the project.
The tricky part was doing the tops of the balls, you'll have to get creative with placement to get the peppermints to fit.
The peppermint one is not perfect, but I'm ok with small imperfections. ;)
The gum drop balls were super simple to create, you can squeeze them in to get them to fit, which was not the case with the harder candy.
I will be filling in the bare spots you see on the peppermint cone, but this is what it looks like now.
Below is my Christmas Present Tower Project I did last week.
Below are the items you will need, plus a glue gun! The tablecloth was so that I didn't get glue all over my table. I'm a messy crafter. lol!
All items were purchased at the Dollar Tree. Cheap, cheap, cheap!!
I made a matching wreath too! I used a Styrofoam wreath form and wrapped the dollar store Christmas garland around it, added ribbon, and hot glued the ornaments on. Super simple!
I must say, I really had fun making all these items. As much as I love to shop and buy pre-made items, there is something to be said about making and creating something of your very own.
I'm looking forward to accessorizing with these items, so stay tuned!
