Home Theater #1 And Home Theater #2 - Tour!

Ok, so here is the story on how we ended up with two theaters, it was purely by accident, I promise you! My hubby placed an order for everything in Theater 1 (audio, video, projector, cables, speakers, surround sound, etc.. etc..) and then began to have the dreaded buyers remorse, so he went on Craigslist to see if there were any less expensive deals. Guess what happened, he found a gentlemen that was moving and selling his ENTIRE theater system for next to nothing. It was such a good deal, we couldn't pass it up. We went to the mans house and bought his whole system "assuming" that we could cancel our order we just placed, just a few hours before. WRONG! So, the rest is history, we were stuck with two theater systems.  We had an empty basement and decided to set up shop with Theater #2. Below is Theater #1...
We are an Audiophile family and we love to spend time together listening to music and watching movies!
The kids love to have their friends over to play video games, too!
We save so much money having a theater of our own, as opposed to going to the movies!
Theater #1 is in the BONUS ROOM upstairs, (i.e.) the kids hangout! ;)
Here is the basement before the theater.
Here is the basement now!
There is plenty of room for the whole family to fit comfortably.
This summer, we may install some pre-fabricated Tuscan beams, so this room is going to evolve over time.
You can't tell in these photos, but the city view at night is gorgeous while watching a movie. It looks like a million twinkle lights in the distance.
You can find AMAZING deals on Craigslist, so keep your eyes peeled if you would like to set up a home theater of your own.
I found these large sconces at a Liquidation store and scored them for a great price!
These two large chairs couldn't fit anywhere else in the house, so they had to go in the basement. So, we made a game area in this area of the basement.
The kids like to play checkers and games here. There is also a TV for regular TV watching, so we don't burn out the bulbs on the projector!
On another note, Debbie from Debbiedoo's asked if she could feature our home as a part of her Home Tour Series, so if you would like to check out the tour, please visit her blog.
Debbie is extremely talented and you will love her blog if you haven't visited before! She is not only a fabulous decorator, but she is an AMAZING crafter!
Thanks for stopping by! xo ~Liz

2 home theaters.. My men would be in heaven. Tonight's movie was the last of the Black Knight series.... a def man movie, I disappeared to the safety of the master suite while the surround sound blasted 'dark knightness'.

Hi Liz, in home theatre #2 did you paint the walls? Or does it look differently due to the lighting? Do you know what color of paint was used? It's a perfect warm neutral I was looking for. Thanks, Maria

Hi Maria,
No, we did not paint the walls. The builder painted it a real soft beige color. It's almost a cross between a creamy white, yellow, and soft beige.
Wish I was more help, if I find the paint can I will let you know what the name is. xo ~Liz

Sonicgal,
We purchased the Dining Ste from a local store in our area. The name of the set is:

Homelegance Ohana Antique White and Cherry Finish 7 Pcs. Dining Set

If you Google it, you can buy it any number of places. Hope this helps! ~Liz :)

Hi Liz! I was just over at Debbiedoo's admiring your beautiful home tour! I love Tuscan design and your home has so many beautiful elements in this style! Such a gorgeous home you havedecorated for your family! I could shop from your home decor storage! Funny story about your 2 home theatres but really, they do come in handy I imagine. With 4 children and their friends coming to watch a movie, it gives you and your husband a room to watch your own movie or tv! Besides, it was another room to get to decorate, right? Love it! I'll be following now, looking forward to reading more posts and admiring more photos! Have a wonderful weekend! Hugs, Leena

And, I think it's great you guys ended up with two ... that way, the kids can enjoy one and you and hubby can enjoy the other at the same time!
