LOL, I got my Hubby hooked on these guys, they MAKE us laugh. We have been watching all the older shows with anticipation of the newer series starting. Like you, I love their values, love of family and their querky ways! Si, has to be my FAV, he just cracks me up!

Si is my favorite! I mean...really?! It doesn't get any better than him! My favorite line was where he says "Girls smell nice." Cracks me up every time!
I adore this show. I have gotten everyone I know watching it too! I love it for the same reasons you do. They may look like a bunch of backwoods cave men, but they are not. I love that they end ever show at the family table in prayer, and togetherness. My favorite is Phil. He is soft spoken, but he always teaches, and gets his point across. Did you know that he was a star quarterback in college at LSU? That his second string qb was none other than Terry Bradshaw???
He says he didn't go into pro ball because he loved to hunt more that play the game.

We love this show soooo much! I love Uncle Si. All I have to do is look at him & I start laughing. The hubs says "Phil is one of the great philosophers of our time". HA!
I love this show! The people are so authentic - no pretenses. They aren't afraid to be who they are, do what they love, or express their faith. I think we could all take a lesson from these folks.

It is refreshing to see genuine people with no pretense who have courage to state their faith and stand by it. These are the kinds of people our country is based upon. We enjoy Uncle Si also. Our kids lived a short time in Monroe, so it makes it even more interesting.
I have never watched this show but I have been waiting for it to come on. I have heard so many good things about it.

I have been watching all the re runs and the trailer for the new season. I can't wait to watch. It's not your typical reality show filled with drama and tension, even though Willie gets his shorts twisted quickly. I do have to say that Uncle Si is my favorite. The things he says just crack me up. Who doesn't love Miss Kay (even though I am not a fan of eating squirrel!)
Hey Chick! I had the biggest grin on my face when I saw that you love this show as well! Si is by far my fav- we met him at Mack's Prarie Wings (pretty much a redneck mall) in Stuttgart, Arkansas...he's a doll! We even have a couple of Si's tea glasses. LOL...I know, we are dorks! :)
I L.O.V.E. Duck Dynasty!!! I've been watching it since the beginning of season 2 and I'm pretty sure I have every single person in my family hooked on it...even my South Dakota in-laws! I love them all but if I HAD to pick a favorite, it would be Jason (Jase). He has some of the best one liners!
Funny you posted this as we just watched them for the first time during the marathon this week.
Phil is my favorite because his wisdom and wit can make you realize what is right and wrong. Loved it when he went with the grandson and his girlfriend fishing and gave them the low down on the birds and the bees!
I love their family values and being true to their beliefs. Great show!

I LOVE this show! What a hoot! The one with Clint Boyer and racing two cammo covered limos really made me laugh! Jase cracks me up! He is always getting into something...I totally relate! LOL These people are having fun, having frustrations and interacting without cursing at each other and acting smarmy. The end of the show is like the Waltons, gathered around the table (albeit squirrel and dumplings or such) as a family with prayer and camaraderie. Such a breath of fresh air! LOVE these guys!
Hi Liz! I am a new follower and can I just say that I am so excited that I have found you! Your blog is one of a kind and your decorating is impeccable and sooo my style. I can only say that I have a Tuscan feel in my home but no imagination so you have really opened my eyes to new ideas! White is everywhere on the blogs..I understand everyone's fascination with it but it is not me. My poor husband would have to strip down before stepping in the house each day:)My world has to have color! Keep doing what your doing and staying true to your style! Hopefully next week I won't see that you have painted your whole house white LOL!
Now on to Duck Dynasty...I am from Louisiana and I know that some of the reality shows can put a negative lighting on the south so I am very proud of this show and how it portrays the South. I love Si as everyone else does but I would say that Jace and Phil run a tight race at second with me. Phil is my grandfather made over! Thanks so much for letting me rant and take up space! Becky
I'm loving this show too! Just watched it On Demand! I really like that big fab french looking house that one of them lives in! So pretty, can't imaging be able to live there!

I love Miss Kay, and Phil. We record the show and watch it together as a family. I too have very old fashion beliefs and love this show and how it ends every episode with dinner and prayer.

I adore Duck Dynasty! I have watched every episode at least 5 times - no joke! They show re-runs a few nights a week and I'm always watching them. They make me laugh more every time I see them! It's hard to say who my favorite member of the family is, because I like them all for different reasons. Si cracks me up, I love the comments Jase makes and he's also very funny and his love of life is wonderful! Phil and Miss Kay have such well-grounded outlooks on life and the lessons they teach, all surrounded by faith and love of family. I really appreciate that part! I also find Godwin to be quite a character, especially when yelling for his ham sammich and when saying that he can't wear a shirt with a collar because he doesn't have a neck! I really enjoy them all so much! They make me happy happy happy! Hugs, Leena
We love Duck Dynasty too Liz! My husband adores Si. I love Phil for his wisdom and Chase for his wit. Chase is a younger version of his father for sure. I feel like we get to see glimpses of our own family's quirkiness with this show and a reminder of how to be so thankful for them. I love their outdoor adventures and dining the most. Excellent show!
